Bill of Rights Consultation Event
Wed 2nd December
Details TBC

With the upcoming Bill of Rights consultation process, MWSN will firstly host an information event focusing on the Bill as it relates to our work with ethnic minority communities as well as highlighting the importance of feeding into the consultation event. The main aim of this event is to equip people with knowledge and understanding of the detail of the Bill so that they can contribute meaningfully to the consultation process.
Speakers include Fiona Murphy, CAJ and Miriam Titterton, NIHRC.

The second event will be a consultation event, facilitated by Deirdre Mc Aliskey, NIHRC, whereby participants give their views on the Bill of Rights and make recommendations, which will be carried forward to the official consultation process.

Who should attend?
This event is important for everyone as everyone at some point may be vulnerable to violation of his or her rights.
Those interested in learning about and contributing to a Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland, particularly in relation to ethnic minorities should also attend. Not only will these events provide you with information and a greater understanding of the Bill, they will also equip you and your organisation with skills and know – how so that you can continue to feed into the general consultation process.
