  Supporting People

‘Supporting People’ is a Government programme which came into effect on 1st April 2003 and is administered in Northern Ireland by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.
Housing related support services can be defined as practical support tasks that enable vulnerable people to live as independently as possible in the community.

  S.T.E.P. Supporting People Programme.

The Floating Support Service offered by STEP provides clients with a Support Worker who helps them to assess their needs and identify any areas where they might be at risk.

The Support Worker supports the clients to develop and regularly review an individual plan that enables them to meet their needs and set goals for the future.

Support meetings can be arranged at times convenient to the client and in general, will be pre arranged.
